The SPHÈRES project

The SPHÈRES project is a voluntary, non-binding approach aimed at young people aged 12 to 24 who are victims of sexual exploitation.

While some adults may view prostitution as a choice, our goal is to help those who are struggling with this lifestyle.

All of our efforts are aimed at supporting these young people toward their social integration and adoption of healthy habits.

We do not pass judgment on the motives or reasons that have led a person to be in a sexually exploitative situation. We simply want to work with people who express the need to receive help in order to make changes in their lives.

SPHÈRES provides targeted services on an integrated continuum to adolescents and young adults by offering them the following:

  • Personalized follow-up
  • Support for urgent and safety needs
  • Guidance and referrals to specialized resources
  • Positive activities and experiences
  • Support for the parents of the project participants

To the professionals stakeholders working with clients who are victims of sexual exploitation, SPHÈRES can provide the following:

  • Personalized support and advice for their interventions
  • Group information and awareness sessions on preferred interventions

SPHÈRES is a pilot project that may lead to a proposal in the coming years to reorganize specific services to both minors and adults who are victims of sexual exploitation.
